Summer’s Joy

16 × 20 inches | Acrylic on Canvas

“Be wet
with a decent happiness.”

Artist Statement

Some people have a way of bringing sunshine into a room, regardless of the weather outside. Their laughter is contagious, their smiles effortless, and their joy seems to brighten everything around them.

Inspired by a neighbor whose smile and laughter possess just that kind of radiance, Summer’s Joy celebrates the simple pleasure of embracing life’s moments. Beneath a red umbrella, surrounded by rain, a woman turns her face toward an unexpected burst of sunlight—a reflection of the warmth and happiness she brings to the world.

A reminder that sometimes sunshine isn’t something we find. It’s something we carry.
