अनित्य (Anitya)

An original painting from Ran Stewart

36″ x 48″ Acrylic on Canvas – Gallery Mat

“Thanks to impermanence, everything is possible.”
— Thich Nhat Hanh

The Beauty of Impermanence

Anitya, the Sanskrit word for impermanence, is a meditation on the fleeting nature of existence, where growth and loss are not opposing forces but inseparable parts of the same cycle.

The lilies, long associated with purity, renewal, and transcendence, emerge from an expressive, shifting landscape of color and form. Their delicate beauty exists in contrast to the uncertainty surrounding them, reflecting life’s constant movement between creation and dissolution.

Just as a flower blooms, fades, and returns to the earth, every ending holds the possibility of a new beginning. What appears to be loss may simply be transformation—an essential part of life’s continuous unfolding.

Anitya invites us to embrace the beauty of the present while acknowledging its impermanence. It is not a lament for what passes, but a quiet celebration of what becomes.

Original painting by artist Ran Stewart

Hand embellished limited edition reproductions. These beautiful gicleé prints are made using only quality canvas, archival inks, and wood stretcher bars. Each piece is numbered and signed by the artist and comes accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Our giclée prints are stunningly accurate reproductions, printed on high-quality canvas with inks that will last generations. Hand-stretched on solid wood stretcher bars, they ensure durability and prevent warping. The rounded edges and beveled sides minimize canvas contact. We also offer elegant solid wood floating frames.

These beautiful reproductions are made on museum quality papers or canvas with archival inks. They can be purchased as loose prints, or we can offer quality framing or even as a stretched canvas print.

Loose prints may be shipped flat or rolled depending on size.

Artist

“I love to capture a moment in time, be it passengers waiting for a train, people on crowded street, or a lone figure on a rainy night,” says Stewart. “There is simplicity in a moment, but the complexity of the story it tells is what fascinates me.”

Ran Stewart is a fine artist who works from his studio in Salt Lake City. He has shown work locally and nationally for over 30 years. Most recently several of his pieces have been adopted into the Permanent Utah Artist Collection at the Ray Olpin Union at the University of Utah.
